WMS - Bin Transfer


1. Introduction

The Bin Transfer feature enables the ability to move items from one bin to another insofar as both bins are within the same location. Cloud WMS allows the completion of the NetSuite item Bin Transfer process on a mobile device running the Movilizer application framework. Cloud WMS accomplishes the bin transfer feature on a mobile device by allowing the warehouse user move items within bins from a single location.

1.1. Bin Transfer Process Walkthrough

Scenario

  1. User creates a Bin Transfer on the mobile device from their location.
  2. User specifies source bin.
  3. User picks all items.
  4. User specifies destination bin.
  5. Bin transfer item is released.
  6. Bin transfer item will appear in NetSuite. 
  7. NetSuite Item transfer order is complete.


1.2. Bin Transfer Process Steps

Step 1 -  User creates bin transfer on the mobile device from their location

Warehouse mobile user creates a Bin Transfer on their mobile device by clicking on the Bin Transfer option as shown below. They will be required to specify the following:

  1. The bin subsidiary
  2. The location for the source and destination bins






Step 2 - Warehouse user specifies source bin

Once the source bin is specified, all items within the source been to be transferred will need to be listed with their respective and quantities. On this menu the mobile user can perform the following:

  1. Pick all bins within that location
  2. Check all stock in that bin
  3. Pick all items from that bin



After all source bin items have been picked, the user will need to proceed to the destination bin by clicking the Proceed button



Step 3 - Warehouse user specifies destination bin

Once the destination bin is specified, all items within the source been to be transferred will need to be listed with their respective and quantities. On this menu the mobile user can perform the following:

  1. Put all bins within that location
  2. Put all items from source bin into destination bin



After all items have been put into the destination bin, the bin transfer order will have to be transmitted back to NetSuite




Step 4 - Bin transfer item is released 

After Bin transfer has been transmitted to NetSuite, all inventory items specified in the bin transfer are released and both source and destination bins are updated



Step 5 - Bin transfer will appear in NetSuite

Bin transfer will appear in NetSuite under Transaction → Inventory → Bin Transfer → List
