TSI - Using the Bundle

Estimates and Sales Orders

When creating or editing an Estimate or Sales Order, two buttons will be available for shipping integration:
Calculate Shipping will initiate an assistant to confirm shipping details and provide a list of available quotes.
Shipping Quote will automatically generate a quote using the carrier and method specified in the shipping service. No further human intervention will be required (if necessary information is not entered, the user will be informed).

Calculate Shipping

Selecting the "Calculate Shipping" button will open the Temando Shipping Calculator. This will present all relevant details taken from the Sales Order or Estimate.
Each item will be placed into appropriate packages, based on the Item container details and packing quantity. This may result in different packages for a single item. For example, if 8 units of an item are being shipped, and the packing quantity is 3, the system will need to send 2 packages with 3 items each, and 1 package with 2 items.

Details can be confirmed on this screen (including the expandable sections "Pickup Location" and "Destination and Origin Options") before progressing to the next step of the assistant. Should there be any errors (missing or invalid information), these will be displayed at the top of the page and the user will remain on the current step to correct them.
The second step of the assistant shows all available quotes that have been returned by Temando for the provided details.
If the Shipping Service on the Estimate or Sales Order specifies a given carrier and shipping method, then it will be automatically selected. The user should confirm the quote they wish to use and select it using the checkbox on the left. If insurance is required, then it should be selected with the "Include Insurance?" checkbox.

When the "Next >" button is clicked, the relevant details will be returned to the Estimate or Sales Order – this includes the shipping cost, selected carrier and selected shipping method.
Note that if the assistant is activated from an Item Fulfillment, there is a third step confirming a booking.

Shipping Quote

If the "Shipping Quote" button is selected, a similar process is followed however there is no confirmation requested and no human intervention required. The specified carrier and shipping method is automatically selected and the relevant details brought back into the Estimate or Sales Order.
Therefore, if any information is missing, the user is informed via a dialog box. They must correct it on the Estimate or Sales Order, and click the "Shipping Quote" button again.

Item Fulfillments

When creating or editing an Item Fulfillment, two buttons will be available for shipping integration:
Calculate Shipping will initiate an assistant to confirm shipping details and provide a list of available quotes. A quote can then be selected for booking.
Make Booking will automatically make a booking using the carrier and method specified in the shipping service. No further human intervention will be required (if necessary information is not entered, the user will be informed).

Calculate Shipping

This process will initiate in the same way as Calculate Shipping for an Estimate or Sales Order. After selecting a quote, a booking will be made and confirmation details will be shown on an additional third page.

Once the Finish button is pressed, all details about the booking will be brought back into the Item Fulfillment. This includes the Temando Request ID, consignment note, shipping label and tracking status (this will be updated every time the Item Fulfillment is opened).

Make Booking

If the "Make Booking" button is selected, a similar process is followed however there is no confirmation requested and no human intervention required. The specified carrier and shipping method is automatically selected for booking and the relevant details brought back into the Item Fulfillment.
Therefore, if any information is missing, the user is informed via a dialog box. They must correct it on the Item Fulfillment, and click the "Make Booking" button again.
